The issue is that Acid Rain is getting in to the lakes and rivers.The cause is that nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides are combing with the water vapor and making Acid Rain.Some consequentness is that the acid is killing plants and animals and getting in to the rivers and lakes.

The difference between acid rain and London-type smog is that acid rain is caused by nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides combining with water vapor and London-type smog is caused by particles in coal smoke combining with water droplets in the air. These are some of the differences between London-type smog and acid rain. -Ali
